Taxi to Rosenburg Castle.
The castle museum, the falconry and the knights’ banquets at Rosenburg in the Kamptal: we drive you from Krems to the car park right in front of the castle — straight from the train if you come by rail, instead of walking through the woods from Rosenburg station.
Until 13 December 2026 the Kamptalbahn line is closed for engineering works between Hadersdorf am Kamp and Sigmundsherberg, Rosenburg station included, with replacement buses running instead of trains. If you arrive by rail, change to our taxi at Krems station.
Rosenburg Castle in the Kamptal
Rosenburg Castle stands high on a rock in the Kamptal, in the village of the same name, the main village of the municipality of Rosenburg-Mold in the Horn district of the Waldviertel. Its roots go back to the 12th century; today it is a Renaissance castle with a large tournament courtyard and arcades from the early 17th century, owned by the Hoyos family. The castle has a museum and a falconry with birds-of-prey displays, a tavern in the courtyard and knights’ banquets held regularly in the vaulted hall. Rosenburg is also home to the Sommernachtskomödie Rosenburg theatre festival. The castle is open seasonally — please check opening times and the season with the castle before you go.
Straight from Krems, no forest path
From Krems the ride goes up the Kamptal to the car park right in front of the castle. The Kamptal line does stop at Rosenburg station, but the way from there to the castle is a footpath: across a footbridge and then along a narrow forest trail. If you travel by train, you can switch to our taxi in Krems instead.
Home after the banquet or the play
Whether after a knights’ banquet in the vaulted hall or a performance of the Sommernachtskomödie: nobody has to drive home. The meeting point is the same car park in front of the castle where you got out — we fix the time when you book, within our hours of 7 am to midnight daily.

There is a Rosenburg railway station — do we need a taxi at all?
Rosenburg station on the Kamptal line is not right by the castle: according to the castle, you continue on foot from there, across a footbridge and along a narrow forest path. If you would rather not walk it, get into our taxi at Krems railway station and ride right to the castle car park.
The knights’ banquet runs late into the evening — how late can you pick us up?
We operate daily from 7 am to midnight. Tell us in advance roughly when the banquet or the performance ends, and we will work out with you which pickup time is possible within those hours. Tell us the number of people when you book and we plan the ride accordingly.
Do you belong to the castle or to the Sommernachtskomödie?
