The castle park at Grafenegg is a 32-hectare landscape garden — laid out in the English style, romantically remodelled in the nineteenth century and developed into an arboretum full of botanical rarities; an inventory from 1910 listed 193 different conifers alone. At its heart stands the castle, considered one of the most important works of Romantic historicism in Austria. From Krems, this is a home route for us.
Fresh on arrival
We pick you up at home, at your hotel or at Krems railway station and take you right to the park entrance. You start your walk rested instead of circling for a parking space — with picnic blanket, camera or walking aid right at hand.
